Original V-8 car??

    It definetely looks different, not sure what it is :shrug:
    It could be a 6 cyl. diff. Im sure someone else on here knows what it is.

    wouldnt the 6 cy and the v8 have the same rear differential???? since they both used the same trannys???

    Yup, it's a 6 cyl rear end. They were integrated carrier types like the newer 8.8 rears.

    Its strange that he would give a C code VIN, but keep the 6 rearend.

    actually, this may be different for the 69 mustang, but i had 2 and one was 6 cyl, and the other was v8 and both the rears were the exact same... 2.79:1 same size shape everything... so i dunno :shrug:

    well the grille is a 65 grill so i dunno.. the car may be a 'peice together' from different years?? :shrug:

    You're right too, I don't remember the changover year, but either 67-68 they went to the same rear end for all, the 65/66 definitely had that type for 6 cyl though.

    Sure looks like a piece-together. The grille is 65 and so is the instrument panel. The gas cap, side chrome, hood trim, seats, and door panels are all 66. Steering wheel is aftermarket. Wheel covers are 65, but that doesn't mean anything.

    I would avoid it... who knows what is cobbled together underneath?!?

    dont know about the $700 in parts that it needs. bumper, hood, fender, valance, inner fender, radiator support, and who knows what the frame rail looks like.
