    My friend has a 2001 mustang gt with the paint code ES, what color red is that? I hear so many different kinds of red I cant firgure it out.

    ES is Performance Red. The other red for that year was Laser Red which is E9.

    the 93 cobras sported the ES paint code and fords says that it is Vibrant Red.

    ES /Performance Red from 1999 on. Only 1,555 Performance Red Mustangs were built in 1999 (GT color only) then in 2000 its went to all Mustangs 17,764 were built in ES, in 2001 they built 9,775 and was replaced by Torch Red in 2002.
