I have a 2001 Mustang GT V8 - Colorado Red metallic. Some kids poured ketchup, mustard, syrup and oatmeal on the hood, back and spoiler and also added saran wrap on the hood. There are now a lot of small white spots on the trunk and spoiler and bigger white spots on the hood. Does anyone know what food item could have caused this or have seen something similar?

Ketchup is acidic. Put an old penny in some ketchup, wait about 15 minutes, then remove the penny, wipe it down and rinse it off. it will be a lot brighter.

I would try using a paint cleaner, such as Sonus Paintwork Cleanser, Meguiars Deep Crystal Paint cleaner or Mother's California Gold paint cleaner to try to lessen the impact of the staining, then use the aforementioned manufactuere's glaze/polish and wax to protect the finish.

    repaint

This actually did damage beyond what will clean off. it has to be repainted. It looks like something ate through the clearcoat.
