Can anyone recommend a good body shop to get your car painted in Tucson. I've got a shortlist of three but would be interested in hearing anybody's experience. Thanks.

I have taken my car to photo finish, and they do a really good job, but they are expensive. I have also heard than Dan's paint and body does good work.

Thanks for the reply. I’ve had a look in the yellow pages and found the following shops, Tucson Frame and Body Services, Smith-Martin Paint and Body, Perfection Auto Craft and even possibly 911 Collision Centers. These guys seem to be well accredited and qualified on paper. I checked the Better Business Bureau for complaints as well. I'll add your two recommendations to my list. I plan on taking my car to these shops around Thanksgiving for a quote.

My dad's gone to the Dan's paint and body on 22nd and Alvernon, both were insurance repairs though, from accidents. Replaced a door on one, and a front quarter panel on another.

But they did a great job, really friendly, I was impressed with their work. not sure on their pricing.

I wouldn't recommend going to Smith-Martin.:notnice: Several years ago, i would've, but no more. I just had my 02 Olds Bravada repaired there a few months back. Its a tri-coat red. When i picked it up, it didn't look quite right. After a few days i took it back and said it didn't look right and the painter is like, what's wrong looks ok to me?? I took it to an auto paint store where i buy my paint and he said they didn't do the tri-coat. So i go back and get a different person to look at it and he said, you're right, there's very little metallic to it. They also didn't blend it into the other area good. So they repainted it using the tri-coat. It looks better, but then they forgot to respray the rear wrap around bumper portion on the repaint. I just said screw it. I called them and told them what i thought of them and they would never get any recommendations from me again.

I don't really want to bring up an old thread, but I am in Tucson and was wanting to get my car painted soon so I was wondering where you went and how your car turned out? If anyone can get back to me it would be greatly appreciated.
