Well I decided to painted my calipers today, look like it was going to rain but I made it thru the fronts, back brake calipers will have to wait another day...

    MATERIALS USED:
    1- Airbrush
2 - RIO RED AUTO AC. Laquer PAINT ( SUBARU ) LOL
Close match to the ford, I got the paint cheap).
3- Dupli color Spray can High Temp Engine "CLEAR"
4 - home made Stencil of a running horse.
    5- Dremel
    Process :

1- Dremel tool with wire brush attachment clean rust, etc...
2- shoot 2 coats of subaru rio red with airbrush
3- shoot 1 coat of high temp clear in spray can...
4- Apply stencil on caliper and shoot flat black paint with airbrush.
5- apply one last coat of high temp clear...

    REsults:

Very happy now I need to do the rears...
(Time to dry between coats suck, especially the clear...

Looks like Orange to me. I would have gone with a darker red. I also am going to take my calipers off when i paint them. I am going to paint mine the color of your car.

just trying to help, but I think it looks much cleaner when you paint the calipers without the pads in them, and then paint the pads another color (black?). I did mine a couple weeks ago, I'm super-happy for the money invested. It's also not hard to bleed the brakes, don't be afraid to disconnect them to make the process easier. I used my sister as the "pedal operator" when I bled the brakes and it usually only took 5-8 pumps.
