painting engine accessories, does paint matter?

    I want to paint some of the engine accessories black/silver to match the car but i got to thinkin. does what kind of paint i use matter? Do i need high temp stuff for brackets, A/C lines, bolts and pullies?

    i would do the high temp paint for anyhting under the engine bay. alot of heat stays right there.

    i used high temp black for my stang

    It's not mostly the heat but the oils and such that will ruin a normal paint. I painted my intake and valve covers with a normal body paint and it's working fine but I don't have any oil spills under the hood.
