Hi guys, just wanted to mention although i haven't been on much, that does not mean i am not pursuing the ultimate goal of getting our MII PR out there. I have been in three parades this summer with the Cobra. One of these parades I was asked to be in the nationally televised Columbus day parade here in Philadelphia. I had my wife record it on television but all they did was swipe the car with the camera for a brief second. Hopefully next year I will get a better shot on the camera. One step at a time. By the way, the look on the people's faces made the parades all worth while. I also found out the gas tank sure as heck doesn't hold too much gas for a trip and a long parade in Philly. Thank God for the extra 5 gallon aux. tank. Hang in there guys, we are getting there.
Keep up the PR Jon, nice to hear your getting lots of use (and fun) out of the car. Hope to join in myself someday soon, I just have to quit picking up more projects before I finish one (I'll be picking up "Elvis" plus another parts car this week) Francis
Hey Francis, its great to hear from you!!! How is the family? If I knew of a way to slow down a dvd recording of the parade, i would show it here. like i said, the televison network camera just briefly caught a glimpse of the car in the parade. anyone have any suggestions?
You want the full attention of the TV camera..... LIGHT 'EM UP!!!! Nothing gets more attention than layin a little scratch for the parade goers!
HEHE, i will have to remember that....although.....I don't think the young kids behind us would appreciate all the smoke and smell of burnt rubber while they are trying to dance the tarantella....cool thought though. HEHE!
