Before you answer this, let it be known that cars modified with SCs, turbos and basic altering of the engine, not withstanding, the performance tune is a necessity without question..

You folks, like me, with the ability of tuning with a hand held and don't have a need to keep the performance tune applied all the time, do you change it back to stock while daily driving or do you leave the performance tune applied all the time. If so, why?

For myself, it is the only mod I have for my car as of now so when I'm not using the car for 'performance', I tune it back to stock.:)

Well... ours isn't a daily driver, but it isn't abused or raced everytime it leaves the garage. With that said, yes, the 92 oct Steeda tune is loaded up and not coming out unless I need some work done at the dealership.

Not sure about your tune, but its like driving a different car with it! Instant throttle response, firm shifts, etc... I couldn't imagine driving it stock again. :D

I put mine back to stock for the winter, mostly because I don't want the hard shifts if I'm on slippery roads.

That said, we've only had maybe 2 days since November where the roads were slick... :nonono:

i have intake that requires a tune (jlt) but even if i didn't i would leave the tune. I have bama tunes and leave the race tune all the time. Never know when i will want to floor it and have all my ponies on demand. After installing the tune i have never even though of taking it off. I don't even like driving with tthe street tune, never mind stock. My mods are intake, after cat x-pipe and axle backs. I have cat delete pipes awaiting my return home to install.

I never remove my BAMA 93 race tune. I only drive it a few hundred miles a week, if that much. I work out of town and the Mustang stays at home.
