$219-$269 depending on how racey you want'em. IMO you can't do better than H+R springs, but if you never take your car offroad then you wouldn't know the difference if you got Eibachs (which i have). They're a really nice ride and drop the car about 1.5 or so...far from being slammed.

Here's Maximum Motorsports' link to H+R's

are cc plates necessary or can you adjust the factory ones far enough to compensate?

I don't believe the factory ones are adjustable....they're definitely recommended but i don't have them on my car *yet*. I've got a set sitting around that i'm waiting on new struts before i bother with them.

I don't mean to pic-hijack your thread but here's some old old old pics of my car with stock springs and then with the Eibach Pro Kit springs. This was taken right after they went on and it did settle down a little bit but not a whole lot. You can see that it's still far from slammed...i make it over speed bumps and such just fine and i've got full length headers hanging down now.

factory cc plates are adjustable, thats what the slots are for....but i mean you can only adjust them so far to bring the tire in or out before they're maxed out...the aftermarket one alows for more adjustment...i just wasnt sure if you could get away with what i had...

CC plates are a must for lowering springs in my opinion. Just because an alignment is a MUST after springs, and they wont be able to align it right without the cc plates. I put Eibach prokit springs on my car a few months ago and I can already see the strings on the inside part of my front tire, it was a new tire maybe a year ago. On a different note though, springs are also a must for a mustang, and I didnt feel a ride difference from stockers to eibachs.
