I bought the 102600 Comp 270 Cams last month and have been waiting for the time to do the install and while browsing another board I saw a post about piston to valve clearance with these cams being a problem? Anybody running these with a stock long block on a 02 GT? Don't tell me they won't work :bang:

Where did you read this? Not knocking you, just curious because I have the same cams sitting in the garage. I did pick up on a thread at Mod Depot where the XE278AH's would cause problems with flat-tops and possibly the stock dished pistons but I haven't seen anything about the XE270's having this problem. The one's that I know that are running the 270's on MD are:

    -KenB
    -SpringStang
    -Kurgan
    -MOD ULR
-Whitestang98 (had 270s, went to blower cams)
    -tmarc75
-silver2k2gt has custom grinds that IIRC are exactly the same as 270's except for a wider LSA (114* vs. 113*)

They may fit in easily with the dished 99 pistons, but how many people on this board have 96-98 headswapped cars where they have the comp 270's and they work fine??
