Popping sound???

    my car had powersteering but i took the pump off... now when i make sharp turns there is a popping sound that comes from the left side of the car... it sounds like a hollow peice of plastic draging the ground... i cant see whats wrong with it... all i could think of is taking the pump off is hurting it somehow. any help??

    Well, you aren't supposed to use a power steering rack with no pump, so I'd say something is probably screwed up in the rack.
