If your getting ported intakes you shouldn't be worrying about fuel economy in the first place....

I wanna get some more power out of my car, but since gas is like 2.69 a gallon I dont want to do anything the makes a drastic change in fuel consumption.

I have seen alot of posts asking ?'s about stuff you claim you want to do to your car.If you are worried about fuel consumption that much, leave the car stock. If you are going to be modding your car fuel mpg shouldnt be a concern.

I liking doing stuff to my car but I like having an idea of the effect it has on the car before I do it. Power is the most important apsect to me, but fuel consumption is a very close second. I already know what kind of power gains are expected from the porting job, but I was unaware of the approximate change in mpg, hence me asking. When i go back to college, I will not be making much money, and the price of gas goes up everyday. So I'm trying to figure out if I'll be able to afford doing something like this.

Either way, I was just curious.... I'd rather know whats going to happen then be completely suprised. You can't exactly 'unport' your intake. Well you could just buy new ones.

Either way, I see both of your points just as well.
