I've got something squeaking under my hood when my motor is cold. the belts are only a couple of weeks old and the alternator has just been replaced about 2 months ago i'm thinking it's a pulley. which pulleys are most likely to go out? thanks for any help

I had this same pulley sound for a while....then my original alternator died. Youve already replaced it, but who knows, it could be going again....

If i had to guess i would say the tensioner pulley would be your best bet, after theat the waterpump. Pull the belt off and spin everything by hand as fast as you can, to see if you can recreate the noise

well i took the belts off and spun the pulleys but i can't recreate the sound... however when i spin either of the tensioner pulleys they click as they spin. Is this my culprit? or could it be that the belts haven't been properly broken in yet?
    thanks again
