Here's a picture looking from my front yard down the street. It gives you an idea of the traffic that comes through by car and foot. My street is a culdesac on both sides so the cars just follow it all the way around and many just park and walk. This pic is showing a little less than half of the street. On the weekends I even have a christmas band in my garage. Here's a pic of some little girls the band let sing along.
Badstang123- you are THE Clark Griswald of stangnet! That is AWESOME what you do at Christmas! I was going to post pics of mine but now I don't feel worthy!
holy ****ing ****! i thought my town went a little crazy with the lights, but you win! we have toys for tots at my job, but its only a few boxes.
All it takes is being on a far too enthusiastic street and a little too much time on your hands and **** is sure to get out of control The Toy for Tots thing has been real successful on my street. I live in a Suburb a little outside of LA that has a population of around 200,000 people. The town still has a bit of that small town feel though, so our street is just one of those things everyone knows about and goes to around christmas time. Every day of the week there are constantly cars driving my street. That coupled with the fact that most people in the area are pretty well off, enables many to help donate. I used to collect all the toys and take them to the Marine Reserves myself but now they bring a truck and come get them from me. Normally I end up with a approx. 2000 toys just from those that pass by.
