I hear alot of people say that their were no Pre 93 Fox body Cobras, but according to Ford (They said in 93 SVT came about and the registration of all cobras, but the were made before that time, just not registered other than VINed), my insuance company, and CarFax.com their are. And I have one, what I want to know is their any differance in the Cobra and the GT verions of the Pre SVT Cobra model Cobras? Thanks
Ford used the name "Cobra" in Canada on what we called a GT here in the states for the Fox body Mustang. That's why a lot of insurance companies refer to them as GT/Cobra. Also, they used the Cobra name on some tarted up Mustangs in the very early eighties before they starred using the GT nameplate again after dropping it in 1969. SVT revived the Cobra moniker in 1993.
