Over the past few weeks I've experienced a pretty noticable vibration coming from my car, most notably at idle or at really low speeds. It's not constant, it actually kind of surges. At first I thought it was coming from the power steering since it did it when I turned the wheel, but now it seems to do it even when the wheels are straight. It's not a harsh vibration, more like a massage chair if anything, but I thought I would ask if it is something I should worry about. My exhaust is somewhat loud (Borla cat-back) so I thought perhaps it's coming from that, though it seems to be coming from the front half of the car. Any thoughts? Thanks! Kris
One of the prongs on my SLPs rubs up against the rear bumper sometimes and I get this metal-on-metal scraping/rubbing noise. That may be it, if it's not, well, then, I dunno.
Look under your car where the motor mounts to the bellhousing. You'll see to cylinder shape indentations on the bottom of the block towards the tranny. Look for cracks there, around the starter, and on the bellhousing. This would be worse case scenario. Exhaust and the driveshaft are possiblilities as well.
