I have a GT that I just put a Series II Supercharger on. I like it, but I don't like the fact that you cannot see the intercooler. have any of you painted it silver, removed the paint on it, or even replaced your intercooler??? Any input would be helpful. Thanks again.
theres a series I on eBay right now that is chromed with a powdercoated gloss blue intercooler to match the chicane parts...looks pretty sweet
Are you referring to the heat exchanger? If so there are aftermarket he's out there, although most of them are designed for the 03 Cobra. I just ordered one from Gord (www.gordsfordperformance.com) that is silver.
The heat exchanger is what I was refering to. Thanks a lot. Now that I know it is called that it should make things easier.
I got the h.e. today. Here's a quick pic of it. A buddy of mine is going to help install it tomorrow nite. Hopefully it will go in smooth. Shaun
Shaun, Thats exactly what I am looking for. Where did you get it? How much did it cost? Thanks for your replies.
Total was about $530 $400 for the H.E. $75 for custom gt brackets (made for the 03 cobra) $25 for spal fan brackets $30 for 3 day ship. Shaun
Thanks a lot shaun... :OT: I really like your site, looks really good. Do you design the site for your club also?
Thanks Yea both of those were designed by me. I reall enjoy Flash, as it's also what I do for a living (web based training). Shaun
Shaun, Do you plan to compare the two heat exchangers to see if there is any difference in intercooler coolant temperature? I think a thermometer with a wire lead can be coupled to the sending unit under the coolant reservoir. A digital thermometer will display a numerical number, which is easier to read compared to the stock temp. gauge with its ambiguous tick marks.
That's a good idea, hopefully I'll get some numbers by the time I'm done with the install, possibly this weekend. Shaun
