No it's not possible. To make it work you need to modify your fenders, put on a new hood, put on an SVO header panel (holds the headlights) and the front clip.

I can't really tell you on the fenders, there is not A LOT of difference between the years, but there IS a difference. I know that some have had success in converting '87-'93 fenders to the SVO.

You CAN NOT just go a put an SVO front bumper cover on your '87-'93 stang. You will need the header panel (already mentioned), along with the headlamps, inner markers, outer markers, hood (with scoop bezel) and any misc hardware.

My question is WHY??? By the time you add up what these parts would cost you (either used, repro, or NOS) you could have a decent amount saved towards owning an SVO. It's a buyer's market right now....save your $$$ if you want an SVO.

Whats the cheapest you seen an SVO go for and where?

Ive put out adds for WTB an SVO and I swear there non existant in nebraska and I dont feel like going out of state for another vehicle cause there is alot of crap I got to go thru to get it licenced here. Nebraska sucks cause of that.

Oh also do the SVOs use the 79-84 fenders?

The reasion why iam doing this is cause I want the looks of an SVO on a coupe cause I cant stand hatch backs.

I want something different than what everyone has got.

I've never heard of having to change the fenders. You would need to change the hood and at least some of the ground effects. The side body moldings probobly wont match up. I always thought fenders were sold 79-93 right? those square headlights are ugly anyhow IMO.

All depends on the condition. They can go anywhere from less then a $1000 to $15,000 plus. I would say the average price right now is around $3500 for a decent one. But remember, at this price the car will need some work. Check out SVOCA.com under the "Cars for Sale" section.

You may have trouble finding them depending on where you live. I would say that unless you get lucky, you'll probably have to travel some distance to find one. I know a guy who just flew from CA to GA and bought one and drove it home.

BTW - how difficult is Nebraska for bringing a car in from out of state? I can't see where it would really be all that different from other states. Safety/Emission Inspections and Sales Tax?? Wouldn't you have to do that if you bought a car in-state?

Um, what a vehicle safety inspection, TAGS/registration (which you will need anyways) and then the tranfer of title (need to do anyways). If you really don't want to go through all of that (which is nothing) Then why in the hell did you ask? You were planning a 3K plus n/a motor but you don't wanna take the time to register a car that would be cheaper and faster??? oooookie dokie
