I put a new motor in my car, and since it obviously wouldnt have the same VIN# as my car does, how could I go about checking to see if the fix has been done on this motor?

just put your old intake on it and your done. If you swapped another engine into a fixed car the ecm is the same, exhaust is the same, only thing that changed was in the intake.

Thats the problem i had to give them the old motor when i purchased this new one, and I bought the car used, so I dont know if that motor had the fix on it either. I'm not worried about the c/b because the car has a c/b bassani exhaust. I was just wanting to find out if the intake problem had been fixed on this motor, or for that matter, the old one too lol

As i understood the fix was basically an extrude hone job on stock manifold, If the "new" motor came out of 01 cobra or late 99 production it should be fixed :) How does it feel when you step on the gas? I really didnt notice any power gains when i had my fix done. It was basically a free tank of gas and car wash for me :) I can see if the guys at KrazyKoncepts still have my fixed intake laying around, if so they could probabaly sell it to you cheap. But i doubt you'll even know the difference
