A thread search yeilded nothing useful. I have been considering changing out my JLT cold air kit in favor of kit that will allow a strut tower brace. What has the 4V community found to be the best intake setup on N/A DOHC motors?

WMS racing cold air is the one that lets you retain your STB. I have their complete kit on my car and am very happy with it. It is one of the best ones out on the market. Some may argue that it has a bend in front of the MAF which will cause problems, surging, hesitation, but if you get the complete calibrated kit as mine was you won't have any issues at all. I've had mine now for almost six years and the engine runs and idles smooth without any problems.

Another reason I like their sysytem becasue although it places the filter in the fender it still sits high up inside rather than some other kits that place the filter very low to the ground and risk sucking in water and hydrolocking the engine. Yes there is the fender spalsh guard but it has a opening at the front. This has happened to a few guys I read about, there have been a number of posts about this not long ago.
