I have a few questions for all of ya. I just recently traded out my t-45 in my fox to a 4r70w on my mod motor. I had a local shop build my trans with parts from lentech and FRPP. I have a full manual valve body from lentech with a trans brake. Edge racing converter 3800 stall. the shifter is the b&m pro-ratchet. I have the car wired up to 2 switches. one for torque converter lockup and one for overdrive.

My question to you guys is... When flooring it on the highway how do you shift it? Ive been told that if launching the car i should lock the converter up from the start because it will not lockup untill 2nd gear. then shift to third, but DO NOT shift to overdrive. when i get to higher speeds (highway), is it safe to shift into overdrive and still have my foot to the floor? or slow it down and do not use overdrive with full throttle?

Ive always heard to not shift into overdrive while WOT or you will destroy the OD band... then again if its a built tranny I'm not sure.

That is a good point about the overdrive band.

Does anyone else have a lentech manual valvebody trans or experience with one?
