Am I missing the Saleen badge under the radio or did my 2000 just not come with one?

A few cars have been known to roll out without them. Oversight. Some are ******ed by kids when it's sitting on the showroom floor. You would be able to tell though because it would leave a faint double back tape residue.

My plaque arrived many months after taking delivery of the car. It was the last item on the vehicle punch list that I pressed my dealer salesman on weekly.

6 years after the car was first sold = most likely not getting one for free

Call Parts and ask for Bob: 1-800-888-8945

    Good luck.

    Not True,
Todd's gold car didn't have the dash plaque. He called Liz and to his surprise, she had his in her office. A few early 2000 cars left without the plaque and when they finally arrived in Irvine, some of the cars were MIA. Try Liz first to see if she has yours. If not, Bob or Carlos wil be able to help you out......

I just recently bought my 2000 s281 and it was missing the same badge. Doesn't look like it was ever there.

Everyone that is missing there dash plaque might want to contact Liz at Saleen to get them. If you can convince her that the car never came with one, they SHOULD replace it free of charge otherwise you might be have to buy it. Not sure what the going rate is?? When I bought the speedster four years ago, it didn't have one as well. Liz tried to convince me that it did leave the plant with one. However, I bought the car directly from the person that Saleen Inc sold it too. He said the car never had. Final verdict...got the plaque free of charge. Of course it is still in my glove compartment some three year later :p

Hey, my dash plaque story is the strangest of all. They didn't put the dash plaques on the Budget cars. Rather, they waited until they were "reconditioned" by Saleen and put up for auction 1 year or 26K miles later. Then they "supposedly" mailed them out to the winners of the auction after the fact. I spoke to the guy that won it at the auction (I bought it from him), and he knew nothing about it. Liz said she shows it was mailed and told me it was going to cost me a hundred or so bucks to get a replacement. :notnice: :bang: CRAP!!

Robert's correct Again!:D On the Early 2000's like my car, Liz at Saleen had said that the badges were not ready by the time the cars were built and shipped off! When I had asked about my car and its badge, she had told me it was in her office along with a bunch of other ones, that have never been claimed! I'm guessing if this was the case then it seems logical that the Company that produces the Saleen Badges would have other early year production cars not done in time for when they shipped off! S281 Extreme #13 You should call Liz also! She might have it!

    Ya,

You guys without them have to beg and plead to get them for free. My 02-0340 came without one also. I had to get the salesman at the dealer to sign on the dotted line to prove to Liz that it showed up to Beverly Hills Ford of all places without it. I bought the car off the showroom floor.
Otherwise boys it will cost $100.00 and you may have to wait 6 months to a year as Liz waits until she has a large batch to send off the order.
