So I started my car today after not driving it for about a week. It's about 30 degrees out. I start it, let it idle down, and drive away. About 30 seconds later I'm sitting at a light and feel a real strong miss..almost like it's about to stall. Even as I drive it, it sounds horrible (like a lot more muffled than usual) and feels really rough. I pulled over, checked out the exhaust, which smells awful and it seems to be coming out in a putt putt putt rythm. I need to drive 200 miles home tomorrow and would really like an idea of what I'm dealing with here. I had both head gaskets replaced less than a year ago, but the head gasket was a different symptom anyhow. Thanks.

sounds like a cat thats cloged, also check the IAC (cylinder shaped thing no the upper intake/throttle body) if its not idleing and just going dead when its cold and in neutral... but it sounds more like a cat thats not right.

Also, check your spark plugs / spark plug wires to make sure you're not running on 4 or 5 cylinders.

Seems to always be my problem.
