Hey guys, how can I tell what gear ratio I have? Bought an 06 gt premium, Unk what the final ratio is. Any easy way to tell?
Look at the axle cover in the middle of the rear axle...that will tell you what you're working with...also, and i'm unsure about this, but you might be able to check the door jam sticker for that info... that being said, it's likely a 3.23 gear ratio (maybe even a 3.53)...however if you're planning on doing any upgrading to the gears go with the FRPP4.10s; they're a sure thing ....whatever you do, don't go with anything lower, you will most likely not be pleased with anything less..fire it up
i think 05-06 had standard 3.55's then 07 3.31's were optional while 3.55's were standard? somebody correct me if i'm wrong.
Correct. 2008s without a doubt came standard with 3.31s. I made sure that my car had 3.55s from the factory when I bought my car.
'05-'09 GT automatic all came with 3.31 gears. No exceptions. '05-'06 GT manuals all came with 3.55 gears. No exceptions. Starting in '07, GT manuals came standard with 3.31's, with 3.55's optional. The axle code is on the driver's side door jamb and on the differential tag.
