rear end question!

    alright i do have some questions here about a rear end i found on a 90 vert, this is the only pic i could find that has this part on the rear end.

    if you can see where the driveshaft hooks up theres that bracket there,
    1. what is that bracket?
    2. whats the purpose of it?
    3. its easy to come across, should i put it on mine?

    the dog bone? if thats what you are talking about it is for harmonics keeps vibration down.

    Are you talking about the piece of metal on top? I think that is the snubber plate IIRC.

    The top bracket is where the pinion snubber contacts, the bottom (dogbone) is just a big hunk of steel insulated by rubber to keep vibrations down. There are many opinions on wether you need the dogbone or not, personally if the car is a DD, the I'd put it on.
