Hi, I've been looking at the '06 gts for a while now and am just about to go pick one up, but I would like to know from you guys that have had yours for a while how reliable they have been. Have there been any common engine/drivetrain issues? I read in another thread about the clutches in the rear end going out in some cars. Of course those may have been seriously abused. I havn't lurked this forum enough lately to get a feel for all the issues that may or may not be occuring. I understand that this is an engine that has been in use in trucks for some time. Does anyone know what kind of like expectancy these engines have? I dont plan on dropping the clutch all the time like a kid and seeing how quick i can blow stuff up. I just assume that any modern v8 should be able to go a few hundred thousand without major overhaul. A local dealer has some gts for just under 25k with the only option being the i.u.p. That is a lot of bang for the buck. Thanks for any advice.
