I bought a 91 lx with a 5 lug conversion. It looks like it has the 94 - 95 brake setup. I need to put new rotors on there, but I'm having problems getting them off. I have never dealt with this type of setup. I pulled the dust cap off and found this "Gaurd" or "keeper" over what looks like several nuts inside tight against a large washer. I tried taking it off with a large wrench, but I wanted to get some know-how from someone who has actually done this. What is the proper way to remove the rotor/wearbearings from the spindle???

    Thanks
    Paul

I'm pretty sure you can just break the retaining clips on the wheel studs holding the rotor on, and the rotor should just slid right off.

The clips aren't really needed, the wheel being bolted to the wheel studs keeps the rotor nice and straight ;)

Those clips were used by the factory to keep the rotors from flopping around on the assembly line until the wheel was installed. Just pry them off or turn them off with a needle-nose and throw them away.
