I'm the proud owner of a brand new 2004 'stang. As I try to do most maintenance on my vehicles myself, I am interested in a maintenance/repair manual. I notice that Haynes' manual covers 1994 to 2003. Will this manual apply to my 2004 as well? Did Ford make any changes between the '03 and '04 Mustang? Since they were coming out with a new model for 2005, is the 2004 simply a carry-over? BTW, I bought a RedFire/Dark Charcoal V-6 5-speed Deluxe yesterday. Sticker was $19,505, and I paid $13,800. Drove it home and parked it in the garage before it started icing and snowing. Spent the day washing it, and giving it a coat of Meguiars Gold paste wax. As far as I can tell, it was made in April of '04 (anti-freeze check was marked on the radiator bulkhead on that date), so I figured the paint was cured by now! I did find one paint chip on the driver's door, and a chip on the edge of the decklid right by the left tailight. Guess I gotta buy some touch-up paint.
Congrats on your new ride! You should be able to get a repair manual for your 04 at your local Ford parts dept.and Welcome Aboard.
The dealer that sold you the car should give you the touch up paint tube FREE. I ordered one tube when I picked my car up and got it for free. Because I didn't realize you couldn't keep the tube in the garage during winter, I went back, ordered another two years later, and got that one free as well.
