Is it possible to replace the stock cd player with an aftermarket cd player only and not touching the stock head unit? I want to be able to play mp3 cd's and hook up my ipod, but don't want to bypass the mach sound system amplifiers. Has this been done before? Thanks a lot.

No, the cd player is intergrated with the head/tape unit. You will have to replace both with one unit. You will also need a harness. And maybe a mp3 adapter specific to the head unit. And maybe a PIE adapter. And then maybe a rca to stereo jack adapter. Then of a course maybe a ipod. And them some MP3's.

Or unless you play mp3's. Then you will need some bland cds. And mp3's. I think that's it.

oh yeah. you might need some money for all this. or not.

    I gotta go.
