Saleen shifter

    I own an 02s281sc and was considering getting a pro 5.0 or Tri-ax.Are they worth the extra $ over the stock shifter?I don't have any problem with the stock one.However I have never tried an aftermarket one.Thanks for any help.

    I rencently bought a new '03 Saleen. What is Saleen using for a shifter?

    As far as I know, Saleen is still using the bottom line Hurst shifter coupled to the stock Mustang handle, complete with rubber bushings. It is marginal improvement over stock but can be made better by replacing the handle bushings with aluminum versions or even an aftermarket handle, such as a Steeda, MGW, etc. Swapping out the Hurst with something like a Pro 5.0 and aftermarket handle will net enhanced shifting feel and accuracy.

    Steeda Tri-ax is what I have and it is well worth the price! :nice:

    Steeda here. Took about a week before the notchyness went away, but love it now.

    Another vote for the Steeda shifter. I have on both of my cars.
