    Hey Guys, anybody know what kind of engine 99-04 saleens have, and whats the most rwhp it can handle.

    4.6 sohc just like the GT.Most agree 400 rwhp is the safe limit.

    You would need to forge the bottom end, upgrade the tranny and clutch and upgrade the rear diff if you want absolutely no issues.

    t-56 6spd or tko transmission, you will not reach your HP goals on the saleen supercharger, you'll have to go aftermarket. Built bottom end is in store without question

    Find an S281-E car or a Saleen Cobra as a starting point. It can be done with a
    2 valve but it's only a matter of time before something grenades.
