    Just as it says Sal is hosting another Mustang Drag Day this Sat. June 24th at LACR in Palmdale. It is going to be a night race this time!! Gates open at 5pm racing til 10. More details available at salsspeedshop.com.

    Yeah, weather service says ~107-110 in P-dale/Littlerock.:eek: Luckily it only goes down after 5. I'll see about going if I can get enough work done between now and then.

    I forgot about this thread otherwise I would have been back last weekend.

    What the hell was wrong with the track? That was the slickest I have ever seen LACR and it was both lanes.

    Yeah it was! My first pass I got pretty sideways and I'm a 14 second car.

    Sounds like they didn't prep the track. VHT is a drag strips best friend.

    From what I've seen they typically don't hose the whole track down with traction compound. Usually for serious competition they'll spray it down by the tree and maybe out to 60'. The problems were occurring at about half track on both lanes, but the left lane was the worst.

    I was waiting for one of the bikes to lay it down, but they seemed to have the fewest problems.
