Just received the X-Calibrator, but I don't understand the instructions. They say to "disconnect the fuel pump and electric fan fuses" and this lets you into the Custom Tune mode. The unit has already been set up by Paul's High Performance. Do I still go through these steps to get their tune installed?

yes, it prevents a voltage spike.

Thanks Cat. So just go to Custom Tune (after popping those fuses), find the tune that Paul's has in there and 'Select'. That right?

You can guess that I'm not a computer genius :)

theres been so many different views on this issue. the directions say pull#3,41. im lead to believe this is for older cars. my tuner told me there was no need to pull them and ive tuned my car probly 5-6 different times. i did pull the fuses once just to see if the car behaved differently. same result no difference. ive even pulled fuses to see if they were blown, i had no problem. my tuner is brenspeed.com. if you feel safer pull them. some have said they needed to pull as many as 5 different fuses. so just do what your tuner says , but i really dont think you need to. vynle.
