Short Throw Shifter

    For reference, I DID use the search feature to try to find an answer first :)

    Can you use the standard T5 short throw shifter in the 2.3?

    Yes. A T-5 is a T-5...unless it's from a Camaro or other app. in which the top portion of the shifter handle is different. But, the guts are all the same. The mustang shifter brings the handle back towards the driver about 1-1/2 to 2 inches, while the camaros is straight.

    I recommend the Steeda Tri-Ax... And yes, any T5 mustang shifter will fit.

    Yes, in which case a search in the 5.0 Tech forum will return lots of info. I had a B&M on my '89 GT, but many swear by the Tri-Ax or Pro 5.0.

    Get a MGW or see if you can find someone with one so you can try it you will love it.

    i've had 2 pro 5.0s,they're hard to beat.
