the trans will fit the 66 just fine. so he's wanting $200 and your old 302 in trade for his 69 351w? i'd probably do it if it's a good running engine.

yes he wants my 302 with c4 and rebuilt carb and $200 for his 351w with c6 yes they both run and dont smoke but have been siting a long time so they both could probably use a rebuild

$200 and an old 302 for a complete running (even if it needs a rebuild) 351w and C6 is a pretty good deal. but are you sure it's a C6? the stock trans for a 69 351w, no matter what car it originally came in, was an FMX not a C6. just want to make sure you know exactly what you're getting

its out of the blue cougar pics in my garage it should be the trans that came with the car so i guess its a fmx so im keeping my c4 but still want to trade 302 for 351w so what would be a good deal on that trade my 302 just had carb rebuilt and i think he still wants $200

there are a lot of little things on the LTD that will work on a stang. save the brakes for sure, i might buy them myself, radio, any kind of power accessory or other neat little dod dad it may have, etc. research what will work from that car on other cars and then crush it after you pull everything. if the car has cruise control i'll buy that too.

I started prepping to do an axle bearing on my Firebird last week, I gave up in this weather after getting started, snowed day after day here. I put the parts under the car, my drain pans are buried somewhere, screw it.
I womped the hell out of the Bird to before I put her up on blocks:nice:
