I've got a chance to get a set of used Simmons 18" wheels in very nice condition for $1,000 (including the tires). Any opinions on whether this is worth begging my husband for money (I'm going to have to REALLY beg :( ). I have stock 17's now, and wasn't planning on new wheels for awhile, since he's been saying I've been spending too much on the car lately.
The wheels are coming off a very customized Stang that's at the performance shop I go to. The guy bought it for his 17yr old son and decided it drives like "****" and took it to them to remove the wheels, springs, caster camber plates, etc and return it to stock suspension, if you can believe it. Why not just get the kid a car that's still stock? Anyway, opinions on this appreciated, and if I don't get the wheels, I might just get the Steeda springs and caster camber plates off him.
