ouch... well, maybe you can install a new one urself or get it repaired

somebody hit my car yesterday and then parked across the lot... i walked around and found the car but didn't do anything (i was w/ my gf at the time) we'll see what happens later (just a streak on the rear right bumper, but still...)

I called the guy that installed it, what an ass, he said he couldnt fix it and hung up on me. I'm so pissed.

Is there really no way to patch a 3 inch cut?

    Your insurance should cover it.

hmm, you think it could be like sewn? if you put the top up/down halfway and maybe get somebody to sew it with some heavy duty thread, it might not look TOO bad, and it would be a temporary fix??

Gonna need a new top around 200, and install is around 250 - so you're looking at around 450-500 total depending on your guy.

the last 5.0 I owned was a convertible with all the windows smashed (including rear) and the slashes I just put some silicon (inside and outside) and duct tape (on the inside) and it would not leak.. I sold the car cause I didn't want to get another one like i originally planned.

but.. yeah, silicon and duct tape will work and look decent.
