to those who have done this: I just removed my frpp axleback and left on the o/r x and no mufflers. It was LOUD! Now my question is with pipes and tips in place woudl it mellow down a little or is that EXACTLY what it will sound like?
I tried this too, and the no mufflers sound was disgusting and exactly what the SLPs DON'T sound like. Trust me, the SLPs do mellow it out. It's still pretty loud, but not as gorss and burbly. Just as a side note, I would strongly suggest to not mate your O/R x-pipe and SLPs together because the outcome would be terribly raspy.
Yeah, DON'T do the o/r X and Loudmouths. It sounds good down low, but as soon as you get on it, its like taking a fully automatic BB gun and firing it at a coffee can.
well with no mufflers and the x it wasnt too raspy more or just a really loud noise, lol. everyoen todl me the same thing about my stinger and off road X and i dont think its too raspy its just not loud enough for me :-D
