So i got a job lined up today as an intern on a tug boat this xmas getting payed 200$ a day for a 20 day hitch, so ill have around 4k to spend...on my car :D

Im thinking about skipping the bull**** and goin straight to the modular powerhouse mongoose kit with the vortech s/c. The thing is im torn between doing this or going the n/a route mostly because id like to get some aftermarket cams in so i can get that lope. Right now i think im just gonna do the s/c

but my question is if i did s/c the car, would it be beneficial to go ahead and do the exhaust at the same time, im thinking maybe bbk lt's and a mac catback, and from what i know it would be good to get 3" exhaust since im running forced induction, am i right?

Why not save it? It would seem that you don't have a regular job.

Ok, now that the sensible me is out of the way I would definitely go with the mongoose kit!

Are you looking to get into the Tug Boat crew business perminently? Its a good paying gig if you can get it. My dad worked on a tug boat when i was a kid...he went straight from the Marines (Vietnam) to working as a welder on a tug...he loved it and made alot of money. Its something a young guy can do while he doesn't have a family yet. You can save a ton of money since your on the boat for a few months at a time and everything is free. Good luck with that...

well im graduating school in augest then ill start working as a mate on ships, basicly i have the choice of working where i want, i could work on oil tankers or cargo ships or i could work what we call brown water which would be tugs, supplly vessels and that sort of thing. Im going to end up working brown water mostly because i want to be able to hav ea social life and be home more, you can work 2 weeks on and 10 off if you work brown water versus working 3 months on and 2 months off on blue water (BIG ships)

So yea im getting an intern on this tug over xmas, and no im not going to save it i want a s/c i have plenty of time to save money after i graduate :)

Man I wish I could spend every penny I made on a car.

I couldn't do a job like that, won't you miss your stang? Any women on them boats? Might want to save that money for porno mags and lube.

And....:rlaugh: .....saving money after you graduate.... ..... harder than you think. :D

Mongoose kit ftw! And yes, you can do the exhaust at the same time, or enjoy the new power, then when you want a little more fun and something new, get the exhaust done. That's what I'm doing!

I'd do a blower, then later on do cams and exhaust.

My buddy used to bang this hawt chick while her husband was out for weeks on the barges. Just something to think about... :D

Also, do not spend all your money on mods. Life has some unpleasant surprises in store for you and they will all require money, lots of money.
