There is a car show next weekend sponsored by cars for kidz and a local club. It will be the reopening of the old accelaquarter drag strip, sorry guys, not 1340 anymore, just an 1/8 mi. but the real reason im wanting to go is that there is sposta be a 69 mach one powered by a factory SOHC 427 there. the guys tell me its all factory and only three of these cars are left. Ill be posting some pictures of it next week. track is on rt. 34 just north of Harrisburg Il. about 40 miles east of carbondale.
Went down to the track this morning and the 69 was there, that engine is at least as wide as a dohc 4.6! the show runs through monday afternoon and the car will make a few passes down the track. after this show it will be put into storage, this will be its last show.
