Anybody else see the Pontiac Solstace on tonight's "Apprentice"? I don't think it will really be in competetion with the Mustang-but it's a sexy little car.
How can a 170hp 4banger compete? 0-60 around 9 seconds? If you're not careful, it could beat your stang. Hell, you could race it to 60 in reverse and still win!
Solstace Never ment that the Solstace was "competetion" with a Mustang-everything isn't about drag racing. I just said it was a sexy little car probably more in competetion with the Miata. It's about time there was an American entry into this corner of the market. No, I still a Mustang fan through and through-counting down to ordering an '06-hold the flames.
Great looking car, was very disappointed when I saw the horsepower numbers and engine choice. They killed that car by doing that. The exterior is hot, and the interior is great looking and well laid out.. too bad about the motor.
First, it is spelled Solstice Guys, don't forget that this little two seater weighs almost 700 lbs less than a Mustang! I'm not about to trade mine in, but if the wife wanted a 'vert I'd certainly give it a test drive! And it's under $20k!!!!! That in and of itself is amazing. You can't buy a V-6 'vert Stang for that. I bet that little roadster can make 0-60 under 7 seconds. Maybe they'll bring out a bigger engine as a limited edition in a year or two. I'll be watching, that's for sure!
I have seen Several cars like that, with a nice looking body that I admired. Oh yeah..back to cars....uh, yeah, and then I'd see the hp numbers and be disappointed. Either that or laugh if it was an advertisement that threw those hp numbers out there like they were high!
