You guys ever work on your car so long that your hands started hurting? The first time it ever happened to me was after 15 of the 24 hours I spent trying to replace all the components in my front suspension. That was a nightmare. I was still new to the grease monkey crowd back then and not very efficient. That jobs was going pretty smooth until it came time to change the coil springs. I spent hours figuring out how to get the spring compressors to work and once I finally did the compressors went tits up on me. It was cold out and nothing seemed to go right after that. Anyway I was just thinking about that because my hands are sore again tonight. I spent the day and most of this week working on my car. I was pretty tired this evening after a wrestling match with a tremec tranny today but I couldn't stop myself from planning my next big project. I got my new wiring harness in the mail today so I had to take a look at it. Whew there is about 15 lbs of wire to run. Oh what fun I'm going to have tomorrow.
It will be worth it! The pain will ease up eventually, but the pleasure of your hard work will last a long time.
I have tendonitis in my hands & wrists and screwed up ligaments in one wrist (plus problems with my knees). I should have bought stock in Motrin. -Chelle
Heh, forget sore. I spent 4 days this week contorting myself around my garage floor changing the clutch on my 96. I hate working on the latemodels already, but the chunks of flesh missing from my knuckles are the icing on a very bitter cake.
You're too young to be in such pain. Might want to scale back all that marching and swing dancing. Keeping active is a good thing, but kind of a catch 22.
Actually, I haven't done either in at least a year. The swing club on campus fizzled out after I graduated and there's no place local to dance. -Chelle
