Spark plug wires

Silly question.

why are spark plug wires on 4.6 engines so expensive?

The range for most high performance engines is about $40-50. What makes the 4.6 so special that the 2v wires run for 70-80, and the 4v at 110-130?

Are these ones extra hollow?

teh connecters are different. where it attaches to the coil is a ford specific connecter. also the boot that goes to teh plug is deep. plus some of the wires are fairly long.
