Does anyone know what Saleen does to calibrate the speedos? My car had the optional 3.55 gears but the speedo was correct. I just got it from the shop tonight and I hadn't thought about it, but the new 4.10s I had installed has made the speedo off. Do they modify the computer to correctly calibrate it? If so are there places that will recalibrate it for my new gears or how do I go about getting it corrected? I can buy a speedcal from Dallas Mustang, but if the computer has already been modified I'm not sure it will work correctly. I've been searching forums and haven't found my answer yet.

I am almost certain people on this board have used the Speedcal with out problem.

Another option is to ship your CPU to Saleen and for $50.00 they’ll reflash for your gears and send it back in a couple days.

What Dennis said. Your car will be down while it's at Saleen.

YOu can install the speedcal right on top of the Saleen Powerflash so no problems. I usually hide it in the center console down near the top of the shifter.

OK, cool. So I do need the speedcal then? I wasn't sure if the '96 - '98 cars still used the plastic gear down at the tranny like the fox bodies or not. Was hoping I could get by with a $10 part. :)
