Speedo Gear - where's it go?

FINALLY got everything else done and now it's time to pop this in before I drive it again and now that the car is up on stands for some underbody work.

I put in gears last fall and still need to put in my speedo correction gear. I have the gear and just need to know WHERE to put it. It's just a plastic piece, you know, and doesn't look like it bolts to anything. I'm sure I'll see how it works once I find its location, correct?

So anyway, where the hell does this thing go?

The car is a '92 5.0, AOD if it matters.

It goes on the end of the speedometer cable at the transmission. There is one bolt that that goes thru a clip like thing that holds it in the trans. Take that bolt out and pull the cable out of the trans and the gear is on the end of it.

You'll probably have to give the shaft a good yank to get it out.

You will also need to remove a clip before you yank the speedo gear off. Some trans fluid may leak out too.
