Anyone have the ford molded splash guards in place? The pics in the accessories catalog make them look gray and almost brown, not a good look against my black stang. Any pics out there?
I have them. They are available in more than one color. Check with your dealer. I hardly even notice mine. They blend in well.
They only come in one color. They match the other black plastic on the car like the side mirrors and the V6 rocker panels to give you an idea of the color. No pics here at work, but I'll try to post some tonight at home.
When you say "tan" are you refering to this pic? Those are Legend Lime, custom painted. I couldn't find anything but black in the 2006 accesories book. http://bradbarnett.net/mustangs/timeline/05/06/2006MustangAccessories.pdf
All I can tell you is that when I ordered mine the dealer asked me what color? Why would they put custom painted splash guards in the accessory catalog if they are not available? Oh, well, my dealer also can't tell me about the cable in the catalog that is supposed to permit the use of an ipod with the factory Shaker radio.
I ordered a set in April or so. They were flat black with no color options, but things change. One thing you might not be aware of is that they don't (at least when I bought mine) have guards for the front. Ford says the car sits to low in the front. Yeah, right! I modified a cheap set from Autozone for the front. I don't have any pictures at work, but I'll post one when I get home.
Here are a few pictures. The rear are the Ford splash guards the front are cheap autozone guards that I cut to fit. Sorry it took so long. I forgot to do this when I got home from work.
Thanks for the pics guys. Definetely helped me see the result. Probably order them sometime in the near future. The result is real nice, and i would imagine on my black GT they would be pretty hard to spot. Thanks again
