Ok I just bought a 1996 windstar GL with a V6 and noticed it had the split port on it. Would I be able to just take the parts that I need off of the windstar and place them in my 96 V6 stang? would anyone see any issues with doing this. Thanks for the help.

It's the 3.8L correct? And not the 4.2L Windstar.

What parts did you want to use? Most of the engine parts (3.8) are the same.I'm not real sure about the intake tho.

Quick check at the parts counter is to ask if the main gaskets are the same part number? This way, you know one will fit the other. And if they are subtle where you do not need that hole is yours was eliminated and so forth is how you mix and match is the key is the universal part number.

It is a 3.8L what I have gotten off other forums so far is that I will just need to turn the upper intake around and just get an IAC and EGR relocation kit. will the TB and MAF still work from the minivan?

The MAF sensor will work. The TB may but I'd have to see it first. On the Mustang, the TPS and IAC are mounted directly to the TB.IaC is on top and the TPS is on the back side.Of course you allready know this.

Why are you swapping out all of these parts?
