i got a deal on a set of frpp sportsman heads. they were only supposed to have been used once one the dyno then removed.

    http://store.summitracing.com/partd...1&part=FMS-M-6049-N351&N=700 115&autoview=sku

i can get both of them bare shipped to my house for 500.

i'm just worried about if these would be good for me. my car sees alot of track use but its mostly a street car. has anyone used or knows anyone thats used them?

I'm confused as to why you wouldn't just go new beings they are only 400 well actually like 408 with summits handling fee

    That's $400...EACH...BARE. ;)

I'd check into that 10* valve angle. Make sure it takes OE headers and whatnot. I'm not sure it'd be a good savings, to use em. Let us know.

those heads look to flow really well. either way thats a pretty good deal. they would probably work well on a 351 or 347.

If you got a stroker motor 347/408 they would problably work OK. Are they going on your 351 cause with that 64 cc chamber and those runners in cast iron bring on the boost. You could put 25 psi into those if the bottom end would hold it. I still feel you you could get a better set of used heads for the money. You will have $1000.00 all told when they are complete.

I prefer aluminum heads, but I road race so weight distribution is very important to me. Aluminum heads will save 50# off the front end.

yes they would be going on my 351w. would it be better goin with a a smaller intake runner on an aluminum head.

when i have the money i want to upgrade to victor jr, trick flows, or even afr but the money just isnt there right now. and i have 3 other 302 cars that are sitting around that could use these heads when i finaly got done with them and could afford the upgrade.

how would i check about the valve angle and if i could use standard headers.

I read further. It looks like they do accept OE style headers. In fact, it says that all of the ports are in the standard location and the accessory bolt holes are drilled. $500, for the pair sounds like a deal. Do they come with valves/springs and whatnot? If they do, I'd buy em. They'd do really well on a big inch Windsor.
