Hey, I was looking at lowering my car a bit and noticed that some people just used spring clamps. I am wondering if anyone has done this for our cars on the stock springs and if so, what were the affects on handling and overall feel? Is this even worth it?

    Thanks for the input.

I wouldn't reccomend it. It's just one of those bandaid fixes. Plus you mess with the spring rate when you eliminate coils.

Don't be a chump and just drop some cash on new springs. Otherwise, you can cut the stock ones, but if you cut them, or use those gay clamps, you're messing with the spring rates, and it's gonna give you a real bad ride I would think.

I woudl say to cut rather than spring clamps... more permanet means it is probably safer...

I am sure you cna get some repalcememtn stock springs for nothing if you cut too much... so Cut away man.
