Is there any way to make the squeal go away? I use dw-40 but it only helps for a day. Then it comes back again. I think it's getting worse.

My car's belt tensioner squealed badly, it's also a problem for the 96's. You'll just have to replace it, I think the part is like 70 dollars, not sure though. It's a p.i.t.a. to change, looks easy but it's time consuming b/c it's hard to get in there to change it.

If they will sell you just the pully try that first. I believe it has the bearing that is squeeling in it.

Mine was very easy to take off. took all of 5 mins. I took mine off and used a dremel with a polishing pad to spin the pulley really fast while soaking the bearings(middle of pully on both sides) with wd-40. Mine has sqeuled for about 3 weeks now. Im sure i will eventually have to replace it but it works for now.
